The Break Room
AIRE's Youth Program
Young people in rural Pennsylvania deserve safe spaces to be themselves. The Break Room is AIRE's dedicated youth program, created to bring together young individuals from diverse backgrounds across the Central Susquehanna Valley in an environment built on acceptance, support, and community.
We know that rural LGBTQ+ youth, youth of color, and young people navigating mental health challenges often have fewer resources and fewer places to turn. The Break Room was designed specifically to close that gap -- offering a recurring space where young people can connect, decompress, and know they are not alone.
What We Do
Each month The Break Room introduces participants to new venues and activities -- from creative workshops and social gatherings to outdoor activities and community service opportunities.
Who It's For
The Break Room is open to youth across Columbia, Montour, Union, Snyder, and Northumberland counties. We welcome young people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
