Our Committees

AIRE is a committee-driven organization. Our programs and initiatives are built and led by community members who bring their skills and time to the work of building a more inclusive Central Pennsylvania.

Pride Committee

The Pride Committee plans and executes AIRE's LGBTQ+ programming throughout the year, including our annual Pride festival and other events celebrating and supporting the LGBTQ+ community across our five-county region. Committee members handle event logistics, vendor and sponsor coordination, entertainment booking, volunteer management, and outreach. This committee is active year-round with a particular focus on spring and summer programming.

CARA - Cultural and Religious Alliance

CARA is AIRE's interfaith and multicultural committee, focused on education, advocacy, and building bridges across religious and cultural communities in Central Pennsylvania. CARA organizes public education events, facilitates community dialogue, and partners with faith communities, universities, and civic organizations to promote mutual understanding and counter bias and discrimination.

FRN - Family Resource Network

The Family Resource Network is a community-driven coalition committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for every child in our area public schools. We are deeply concerned about the rise in bullying and harassment and are dedicated to understanding its root causes and creating meaningful, lasting solutions. Learn more at frnbloom.org.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee provides organizational leadership, strategic planning, and oversight for AIRE as a whole. This committee works across all of AIRE's programs and initiatives to ensure the organization remains mission-aligned, financially responsible, and responsive to community needs.
